Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 October 2026. By using Cognivo you agree to these terms. They are deliberately brief — there's no account, no payment, and nothing to sign.
Cognivo is free to use for personal, educational, and recreational purposes. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, abuse the game server, or use automated tools to scrape or overload it.
The rules of the games and the classical ciphers featured in Spy Games are not anyone's property. The Cognivo name, original code, interface design, and written educational content are copyright Cognivo and may not be republished wholesale without permission. Short quotations with attribution are welcome.
You may use the Labs to make levels, art and animations, and download what you make as files to keep. What you make stays in your browser and is never published by Cognivo.
Each lab has an option, Allow Cognivo to use this. If you tick it, the permission is saved in the file, and if you send that file to Cognivo, Cognivo may use it in its games. Without it, Cognivo doesn't use anything you make.
Cognivo is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We aim for accuracy in the educational content and correctness in the game engines, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we aren't liable for any damages arising from its use.
Cognivo is free because it shows ads, served by Google AdSense. Ads are chosen and shown by Google and are not endorsements: Cognivo does not pick the advertisers, check their claims, or answer for their products, and what you buy from an advertiser is between you and them. Google decides where ads appear; if an ad ever gets in the way of play, tell us and we will change the ad settings. You may block ads; every game keeps working. How ads use cookies, and how to say no, is on the Cookies & tracking page.
These terms may be updated as the platform grows (new games, new features). The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
